I was born in London in 1985.

My debut novel Boxer, Beetle ("Dazzling" - the Independent on Sunday) was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Desmond Elliott Prize and won the UK Writers' Guild Award and the Goldberg Prize for Outstanding Debut Fiction.

My second novel The Teleportation Accident ("Extraordinary" – the Sunday Times) was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize and the Premio Gregor von Rezzori and won the Encore Award and a Somerset Maugham Award. Following its publication I was named one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists 2013.

4. My third novel Glow ("Dazzling" – the Financial Times) has not been nominated for any awards. So what? Who even pays attention to awards now? Awards are just not relevant to today's readers. Maybe they were a big deal back in the 2010-13 era. But this is 2015! Face it, things have changed.
